Payment ID is different from the reference number in transactions. Payments provide the tools to initiate money movement, while transactions provide the tools to account for and report on all money movements, whether successful or not.
Payments display all payment instructions within your business at Gig Wage. Currently, it includes batch instructions to transfer money from a business wallet to multiple contractor wallets and single instructions to transfer money to one contractor wallet.
Transactions include all money movement events within your business at Gig Wage. Currently, this covers account funding and payments to contractor wallets.
The payment table has columns for type and count because Type indicates if it’s a batch or single instruction, and count shows the number of items in the instruction. When payment instructions are completed (settled in the contractor wallet, for example), they appear as transactions in the transactions table.
